And now, for your local Volcano report

Mt St Helens is in a bit of a mood these days. Fortunately, it was clear today and I was able to capture this picture from the Web Cam. The bright white spot floating in the center of the crater is steam from the ongoing eruption.

Here’s a similar photo I took in the fall of 2006 during the last eruption. Again, you can make out some steam rising from the center of the crater.

I tell ya, active volcanoes have a way of reminding you how small we are and how little time we really have.
